Pon Farr 04:19

Originally released on CD-R circa 2007-2008, "Fatal Romantics" was the title of the last and final ATTAKKR EP. The CD-R also included the 2 previous EPs "Blade of Ithiel" and "Zantetsuken". This had a bit of a larger run and I hand-numbered the covers, although I'd have to check and see exactly how many I made (my guess is 25 or 30). These songs were basically leftovers from my previous sessions that I thought were some of the better outtakes I had. Again, I was inspired by some of the drone/doom bands coming out on Southern Lord around the time. The title "Fatal Romantics" comes from the book "Angel Tech" by Antero Alli, one of my all-time favorites, and "Neuropolitique" is a book by Timothy Leary. I was heavily into psychedelic drugs and consciousness/metaphysics in the mid-to-late 1990's. The song title "Pon Farr" is from the original Star Trek TV series - it's the name of the mating fever that afflicts Spock in the episode "Amok Time". ~Horus
