Trveheimer A raw bedroom project with the expeced sound, though it maintains character and isn't sound-mush. Somewhere between Raw Atmospheric Metal and so called "DSBM", Moonknight brings you a respectable vision of loneliness, despair and depression. Guitar tone is fuzzy, songs are slow, and the title track is beyond fantastic. Favorite track: Valinor.
Atmospheric Black Metal Cat
Atmospheric Black Metal Cat thumbnail
Atmospheric Black Metal Cat Interesting release with the drums pushed to the back to highlight the buzzy lo fi tonal guitar work .. Definitely the strength of the album . By the end of the third track you are comfortable with what is on display and settled in to enjoy more when Helplessness absolutely hijacks the record with its cleaner sound and great riff. Three more strong tracks follow more in the same vein as the opening of the album , before a surprisingly uplifting finale with Valinor. Very solid effort from front to back on this release. Favorite track: Helplessness.

Brit Harvey I was expecting a depressive / bedroom black metal listen when I first fired this up. While I love me some Xasthur, and some of those nuances do reach your ear, this is light years better and more polished . The guitar tone is very original and carries the record throughout . Definitely one of my favorite releases in the back half of 2015. Favorite track: Valinor.

Nick Zuiderveld Captivating tone from the fuzzed-out guitars and muted drums on this haunting, depressing black metal gem. Love the album art. Favorite track: Aconitum.

ProgHog231 One of my favorites of 2015. Mournful black metal from this DIY project that is amazing. Favorite track: With Bright Knives.
ERiC the BuLL

ERiC the BuLL Horus blends the perfect balance of DSBM, atmosphere, and aggression on "Valinor." The guitar tones on the album are excellent. While varied, each track marries the following track perfectly. This album holds a solid theme throughout, rather than being a collection of songs. "Valinor" is a well assembled, superbly executed, thought provoking journey. Favorite track: Helplessness.
